Social media plays a key role in connecting the Edinburgh Napier community wherever they are in the world.
Throughout the pandemic, the University’s social media channels have been a vital part of the communication mix allowing the University to speak directly with nearly 250,000 combined followers across our channels.
To help us build on our record-breaking social engagement, we are looking for a full-time Digital Communications Officer to join the Marketing and External Relations team at Edinburgh Napier University.

You will join an ambitious and results-driven Communications Team within the Marketing & External Relations Department. We act as a strategic service that is integral to the delivery of the University's Strategy by providing innovative and expert communications advice and services.
The Role
The Digital Communications Officer will both maintain and raise the profile and reputation of Edinburgh Napier University primarily through its social media channels.
You will support the Senior Communications Officer in the day-to-day running of the University’s corporate social media channels, and will be a point of contact for students, staff, external stakeholders and all followers of Edinburgh Napier online. This will involve answering queries and direct messages on a daily basis.
Working alongside the Senior Communications Officer you will help share stories from the University through social media, and will support the creation of ‘social media-first’ content. This would primarily focus on the creation of video and creative content.
You will also play a big part in the continued development of the University’s Instagram and TikTok channels through your own content creation, as well as through the management of our team of student social media ambassadors.
Both Instagram and TikTok are essential in helping the University foster a sense of student pride and community online.

Salary: £27,116 - £32,344 per annum (Grade 4)
