Role: Training & Engagement Coordinator – Full Time, Fixed Term
Salary: £27,929 - £34,308 per annum
Contract length: 15 months
Hours: 36.25 hours per week, Monday-Friday (flexible and hybrid working opportunities available)

About Equate Scotland
Equate Scotland is a national expert policy, research, development, and advocacy organisation, with a focus on women’s under-representation within the science, engineering, technology, and the built environment industries. We are hosted by Edinburgh Napier University and are based at the Edinburgh Napier University Craiglockhart campus.
We work in collaboration with the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) sector, academia, statutory and third sector bodies, and the Scottish Government. For effecting a tangible and sustainable change, enabling more women to study, work, and progress in these key sectors.
Equate Scotland’s current programme of work is funded by the Scottish Government for 3 years (Oct 2021 – Sept 2024).

The Role
As part of our ongoing focus on the design and delivery of high-quality training to our Student Network, STEM sector and academia, we are currently recruiting a Training & Engagement Co-Ordinator.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to initiate and build positive relationships with students, student champions and staff across universities and colleges to design/deliver a calendar of online or in person training events and workshops that align to the needs of women students studying STEM.
As someone who is an ambassador for gender equality and using your knowledge and research in Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion to provide advice and support to universities and colleges to recruit and engage student champions and support student champions to deliver women in STEM events.
You will project manage, co-ordinate and deliver valuable resources and communications for women students in STEM and universities and colleges to assist in the aims of the Student Network and Equate Scotland.
You will have the opportunity to lead in the planning and delivery of the biennial Equate conference for STEM employers and women students.
This is a great opportunity to make a difference, by building links with employers across relevant sectors to support women students and groups in STEM and help break down barriers that support a positive and inclusive culture change.
