We are currently looking for an Associate Lecturer in Advanced Clinical Practice to join our School of Health & Social Care on a two year fixed term contract, part-time - 15 hours per week. We would consider an application from candidates who are looking for a
two-year secondment basis also.
Edinburgh Napier University is one of the largest providers of nursing and midwifery education in Scotland; with a further significant profile across the wide UK and a strong transnational education portfolio. The Role
As an Associate Lecturer, you will help contribute to the design and delivery of learning, teaching and assessment across our MSc Advanced Practice Clinical Programme. You will deliver teaching and student centred learning underpinned by academic scholarship and professional practice, with this subject area. This will include transferring knowledge in the form of practical skills, methods and techniques as well as in lectures and small groups on campus and/or online.
You will also contribute to ongoing research projects related to the MSc Advanced Practice (Clinical) Programme.
What are we
looking for?
You must demonstrate the following:
MSc Advanced Practice (Clinical) Qualification
Registered Independent/Supplementary Prescriber (V300)
Extensive clinical experience related to Advanced Clinical Practice in an adult acute and/or primary care setting(s)
Experience of clinical teaching and supervising nursing and/or medical staff
Experience of working as an autonomous practitioner
Advanced Clinical Assessment and Management Skills
Desirable:
Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education
PhD and/or Professional Doctorate
Experience of Advanced Clinical Practice across the lifespan
Previous experience teaching within the academic setting
