generating and analysis software, our own online psychometric database and specialist labs for perception, eye-tracking, observation of social interaction, Bio-Pac and EEG Equipment. Our labs are facilitated by full time dedicated technical support. The software available for teaching and research includes Qualtrics, Bio-Pac Student Lab, Superlab, E-Prime, Matlab and many others.
Our significant capital investment programme has provided experimental testing/interview rooms supported by state of the art CCTV recording (Vaddio ProductionView) and editing facilities. We also have a DI4D Pro System (with three pods) for markerless high fidelity colour facial motion capture; and both stationary and mobile eyetracking facilities. SMI iViewX RED Eyetracker.
We are looking to appoint two academics to our team at either Professor, Associate Professor or lecturer level. A background in forensic psychology or occupational psychology would be an advantage, but we will consider applicants from all areas of psychology. Based at our Sighthill Campus, the successful candidates will contribute primarily to supporting our Edinburgh-based programmes although some input to our overseas programmes may also be required. What are we looking for?
At all levels, a doctoral qualification in psychology ideally with significant experience in one of our noted areas of interest (Forensic or Occupational Psychology) is essential. Candidates will be enthusiastic about cross-disciplinary and collaborative working, and ambitious about forging links across the wider School, University and with our external partners. The successful candidates will have excellent communication skills and effective interpersonal skills with the ability to listen, engage, and inspire others.
We are looking for versatile individuals who can be integral to our Psychology team, with particular strengths in communicating with both under and post-graduate students, the use of technology in teaching and an enthusiasm for continuing to improve our students' experience.
