We have an exciting opportunity for a Performance and Data Analyst to join Construction Scotland Innovation Centre (CISC). Administered by Edinburgh Napier University, CSIC supports construction related business to collaborate, innovate and grow by matching innovation requirements with business support and academic specialists.
The Performance and Data Analyst will be a key member of the Operations team and directly support the Lead Operations Manager in the provision of quality management information, data management and reporting, and implementation of strong governance, quality management systems and controls.
CISC supports Scotland’s construction related businesses, clients and key stakeholders to collaborate, innovate and grow by matching innovation requirements with business support and academic excellence. CISC offer advice, funding, facilitation and access to appropriate expertise, improving Scotland’s competitiveness and growing economic, social and environmental impact. Activity focuses around key challenges and opportunities for the sector including digital transformation, accelerating industrialisation, building sustainably and cultural change.
Although the team are predominantly home based at the moment due to Covid, the role will be based at CSIC’s Innovation Factory at Hamilton International Technology Park when restrictions allow. This unique £2.5million facility supports the construction sector to innovate, collaborate and grow.

The Role
They Performance and Data Analyst will ensure the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and CSIC Board has access to reliable information, analysis and insight to assist in driving performance, governance and compliance processes to optimise the operational efficiency of the business and support the achievement of strategic goals.
The Performance and Data Analyst will take a lead role in scoping, designing and developing dynamic performance reporting systems and processes for strategic and operational decision making. The role holder will identify and understand root causes of change in trends; provide key recommendations; and use current data visualisation techniques to ensure that non-technical users can interpret reports. This role will support in defining and deriving KPI’s; providing regular reporting that will measure operational effectiveness and performance.

Who We Are Looking For
Applicants will hold a degree in business, management (or the equivalent) with demonstrable extensive performance reporting and data analysis experience. You will have proven experience working within a performance reporting environment and producing detailed strategic and operational reports. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex management information from a variety of sources as well as strong IT skills including Excel, Smartsheets or other visualisation software are key for this role.
You will also have the ability to manage stakeholders both internally and externally and build relationships in a positive and influential way. Experience of working with ‘Virtual’ teams across different business areas is preferred.
