Job description
Build your career in Digital Marketing with Edinburgh Napier University
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Digital & Motion Designer to join the central Marketing and Communications Team, which aims to be regarded as a strategic service that is integral to the delivery of the University's 2020 Strategy by providing innovative and expert marketing
and communications advice and services.
We have around 18,500 students studying across our three campuses in Edinburgh and through transnational education overseas. We also have an international community with students from more than 100 countries and over 1,500 staff. We don't just offer a great base salary but we also offer an attractive pension and a minimum of 35 days holiday. It really is an exciting place to work with a clear strategy and growth agenda.

The Role
You will join a small but busy creative team within the Marketing & Communication department. Working in collaborating with the team and University partners, you will be responsible for developing ideas, strong conceptual and creative solutions to support the recruitment and conversion of prospective students.
Key objective of the role is to embed a strong and effective brand value proposition in all marketing and communications activities and deliver a positive and engaging user journey on the corporate website for our key defined audiences.
Who We Are Looking For
A team player who can translate ideas into compelling and visually engaging stories. Strong visual layout, typography and conceptual skills are essential, but this must be coupled with technical ability and a solid knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator. Working as part of a creative team and collaborating with the broader marketing team to produce the best possible work, you will participate in a range of projects from social campaigns, digital projects, video projects and live events.
Studio experience required and a proven ability to provide creative design solutions and original design concepts that translate to a variety of media.
