Business Relationship Managers - 1 x Fixed Term until August 2019
We are currently looking for a Business Relationship Manager to join the Construction Scotland Innovation Centre (CSIC). Administered by Edinburgh Napier University, CSIC supports construction related business to collaborate, innovate and grow by matching innovation requirements with
business support and academic specialists.
Based at our new premises in Hamilton International Technology Park, the Construction Scotland Innovation Centre has an exciting future ahead expanding its range of services and activities throughout Scotland as well as exploiting its a new GBP 2m innovation Factory.
Focusing on Business, Product, Process and Service forms of innovation, we offer advice, funding, facilitation and access to appropriate expertise to grow economic impact within the construction industry and improve Scotland's global competitiveness. We work in partnership with a range of public sector, academic and further education organisations.

This role is based in at the CSIC facility in Hamilton and will require you to travel frequently to other locations throughout Scotland and occasionally within the UK/EU/Internationally.
The Role
As a Business Relationship Manager, you will work throughout Scotland to identify and support the innovative needs of construction related businesses, working in collaboration with academic and business support specialists where required, to facilitate projects that deliver positive economic impact. You will be responsible for developing and managing various innovation projects in response to opportunities and challenges that the companies face.
You will work collaboratively with commercial businesses and partnerships, generating new business and maintaining relationships.
Who We Are Looking For
Essential requirements:
Degree or equivalent in a business or construction and engineering related subject or professional qualifications
Significant experience of working closely in or with businesses, supporting business development/innovation activity
Direct experience of working in/with the Scottish construction industry and business base
Strong relationship management skills and experience building successful long-term relationships with business of all sizes
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
Strong presentation and organisational skills
Desirable Requirements:
Experience of working in an economic development context
Experience working in timber engineering, offsite manufacturing and/or housing
