An exciting and new opportunity for an Office Manager/Admin team leader to join the Wellbeing and Inclusion team has arisen.
The Student Wellbeing and Inclusion team provides high quality, professional services to support potential and current students from their initial enquiry to Edinburgh Napier University through to graduation. As a University committed to inclusion, we aim to provide a positive and supportive environment for all students and staff on the basis of individual merits, ability and potential. A wide range of support for students is embedded across the University, provided through a variety of services. This is a time of growth for the department with a number of roles starting in the early Autumn.
The University is currently still responding to the impacts of the pandemic and as such many professional services have been remote working for a number of months. It is expected you will provide a blend of online and face to face support for our students.
The role
Reporting to the Head of Student Wellbeing and Inclusion, you will assume the senior administrative role within the service and lead, motivate and develop members of the admin team to ensure the provision of an exceptional frontline service and provision of a full range of administrative support to colleagues.
You will be responsible for the effective implementation and use of core administrative systems, processes and tasks; lead where appropriate on key team projects and developments; and together with service managers/leads play a key role in service planning, delivery and review. You will be expected to work closely with team managers/leads to ensure that teams are supported to deliver their key objectives and ensure that work is delivered effectively and on time.

Who we are looking for Qualified to degree level, you will have significant experience of working in an administration role in a busy, professional, customer focused environment. Proven experience of leading, motivating and developing a team of staff is important; as is experience in the use of key financial, database, and management information systems. Working with and for people should have been central to your career to date as you will be working with a diverse range of customers some of whom may at times have been anxious or upset.
