What are we looking for?
We are looking for a research fellow to support our Long Term Conditions theme, assisting us to build on our research capacity. The successful individual will work on existing cardiovascular disease and/or ageing projects, supporting researchers to write grants and publish papers. They will be given further support to enable them to develop their own research proposals and build a research profile nationally and internationally.
Key duties will include developing research protocols with senior researchers, recruiting participants, conducting interviews, gathering questionnaire and patient record data, and undertaking data analysis, report writing and dissemination.
Candidates will be ambitious and enthusiastic and will bring experience or a strong interest within research into cardiovascular disease and/or ageing. Applicants must have a PhD in a relevant area, experience of quantitative data collection and analysis, knowledge of working in healthcare environments, and an ability to engage with patients with Long Term Conditions and their families. Qualitative or mixed methods experience is desirable. A healthcare qualification would also be an advantage.
