The role
We are looking to appoint a Professor in Marketing to contribute to the development of the Marketing subject area within the Management Subject Group. You will join us as an esteemed academic leader and will be an essential part of the Marketing leadership team. You will have a proven network of strong industry and academic contacts and will engage with stakeholder groups both external and internal to the University. You will provide strategic direction to the Marketing research group, and therefore, experience of leading a research group is desirable. Our research themes are: Branding, Digital Marketing, Consumer Behaviour and International Marketing.
As Professor you will have a proven substantive track record of innovative teaching and research and leadership experience. REF-able for 2021, you will have a track record of publishing high quality 3* and 4* research outputs in the Marketing discipline. You will generate research income and deliver impact through personal research, and by leading and mentoring colleagues in the subject group. You will have a track record in postgraduate doctoral research supervision and developing early career researchers.
Drawing on your experience of learning and teaching within the Marketing subject area, you will contribute to the University's objective of growing our academic reputation for research-informed and engaged student learning in the UK and overseas. You will be expected to contribute to teaching, have line management responsibilities and guide Marketing colleagues in achieving their career objectives.
