Project Manager: Fixed Term Contract - 2 Years

Our Strategy Hub supports the development of University wide strategy and leads on the delivery of the change portfolio of projects and programmes in support of
our Strategy 2020 ambitions. Our aim is to provide optimal coordination and alignment of change with strategy, and to ensure that change is successfully delivered. The Role
We are looking for a Project Manager to lead the planning and delivery of key strategic projects in support of our Strategy 2020 ambitions. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to carry out the end to end management and successful delivery of two high profile projects for the University.
You will take a hands-on approach to delivery, demonstrating a detailed understanding of each project in order to produce key project deliverables. You will use your excellent communication, leadership and networking skills to engage with, and inspire, stakeholders at all levels across the University. You will contribute to a varied and interesting range of wider activities.
At the heart of your approach will be your ability to understand the human aspect of achieving successful change in order to bridge the gap between strategy, business requirements and delivery.
This post is based in our Sighthill campus, but travel to our other campuses at Merchiston and Craiglockhart is essential.
Who We Are Looking For
Applicants must demonstrate:
Qualification in Project Management
Extensive project and/or programme management experience with a track record of delivering major projects end to end
Experience of a hands on approach to the delivery of complex projects or programmes
Strong experience of senior stakeholder engagement
Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy
High level of communication skills, including report writing and presentation skills
Benefits We Offer
Salary: Grade 6 - GBP 38,183 - GBP 46,924 per annum
