Pertinent to both the day-to-day organisation of our Schools, along with work into diverse and exciting research and projects; they deliver flexible and resilient support to students and academic staff across the University. Offering an unrivalled student experience by delivering support services that are efficient, intuitive and accessible to all is a key focus of our Student Administration Team. In support of this we have recently launched 'myTimetable'; our system for delivering individualised student timetables. We are looking for a Student Administration Officer to join our team at our Sighthill Campus (please note there may an expectation for you to work at our other Campuses when required). This new role will build on the successful delivery of 'myTimetable' and will focus on timetabling activities to ensure the continued successful roll out and development of our individualised timetable system.Who Are We Looking For?Responsible to the Head of Student Administration, you will undertake a wide range of administrative tasks to coordinate the delivery of professional and robust teaching timetable activities across the University. Through this, the role holder will make an important contribution to the scheduling of teaching - this will be key to improving our student experience and optimising our campus space. Further key deliverables will include the compilation, production and maintenance of accurate and appropriate academic timetables across all campuses and schools and the coordination of the activities of the timetabling coordinators (School Support Administrators) who are based within the three campus groups.Our ideal candidate will be a strong leader, well-versed in both project management and stakeholder engagement and will have the ability to promote collaborative working practices across schools and departments with differing priorities. You will have experience of timetable delivery, organising efficient, effective support to a business unit. You will have a methodical approach to business processes and the ability to explain complex concepts to non-specialists. Along with this you will thrive on enhancing and developing our timetabling system to its full potential to improve our user experience and meet our students' ever changing needs.You should be highly numerate, with excellent computer literacy (MS Office Programmes and network based email in particular) and experience of student record systems (or other large database systems) and timetable scheduling software.
