An exciting new opportunity has arisen within the School for a Teaching Associate to join the Child Health Nursing team to contribute to the learning, teaching and assessment of its under-graduate nursing programme. This includes related tutorial activity, student assessment, associated administrative activities and liaison with practice placement settings.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are seeking an individual who has the knowledge, skills, experience and ability to help deliver the Child Health nursing under-graduate programme by supporting students to develop skills commensurate with pre-registration professional requirements and by supporting academic staff with module delivery. Although our School has a large clinical skills facility which is used to facilitate skills learning in a simulated environment, the focus of this post will be to support the delivery of practice and theory modules, enabling students to develop their skills and knowledge in a wide range of practice settings.
Applicants should be a current NMC registrant, have a degree in child health nursing (or equivalent), have experience of clinical practice, mentoring and supporting students. This post would suit someone interested in developing a career in nursing education. The teaching associate will be based within the Child Health team at our Sighthill Campus but the post-holder will be expected to visit placement areas.

Edinburgh Napier University is committed to the creation of an inclusive culture.
How Will We Reward You?
The University offers an extensive personal benefits package, as well as discounted membership to our innovative gym & leisure facilities at the Sighthill campus.
