We are looking for a subject librarian to join our Information Services Learning and Research Services team. This role is critical to the successful delivery of a responsive, high quality customer centric experience for our Staff and Students.

Information Services provide innovative and reliable IT and Library services which are continually being adapted to meet the changing needs of the staff and students in rapidly changing technology environment.
The University's Learning and Research Services will provide innovative, reliable services which are continually adapted to meet the changing needs of staff and students, supporting them to become world class professionals. Information & Operations work as a part of wider Library Team and assist students, staff and guests in their use of the University’s broad range of technologies and library services, helping them work smarter, faster and easier.
The role
This professional role selects, manages and develops resources and information services for a range of library users, with focus on the subject disciplines of our School of Health and Social Care. You will have budget responsibility, selecting and promoting appropriate library resources to support teaching, learning and research.
Based in our Sighthill Campus, you will provide key support to all researchers through the provision and exploitation of high quality resources as well as advising on publishing and Open Access.
Who we are looking for
We require our applicants to have experience in a health discipline (including nursing, midwifery and social care) and have finely honed communication skills. You will have experience of creating and delivering a wide range of user education services to improve information literacy skills with the aim of enhancing the student experience.
You should be able to evidence a commitment to innovation and service development, with significant experience working with and exploiting a modern Library Management System
