We are looking to hire dedicated individuals to join our performing arts programmes at Edinburgh Napier University. With flexibility on hours (full or part time) we are looking for passionate professionals to join the team. About Us
The performing arts programmes at Edinburgh Napier have achieved some remarkable things in the relatively short time we’ve been offering vocational acting, playwriting, and directing courses. Currently our BA acting graduates can be found in film and television productions for/by Netflix, Starz, BBC, ITV, Channel 4, HBO, and have been nominated for Olivier, and Ian Charleson awards. They have played leading roles at Bard in the Botanics, Regents Open Air Theatre, The National Theatre of Scotland, Dundee Rep, and the Royal National Theatre. Film successes include Best Actress, Arizona Film Festival; Best Actress, Bucharest Shortcut Cinefest; and Best Actress, Edinburgh International Short Film Festival
Following on from the national and international success of our BA Acting programmes, the next phase of our development will be to offer a postgraduate degree in Acting for Stage & Screen. Our current staff have multiple skills and strong industry links, and we’ll be looking for the same in these new roles.
The role
You will be working with both undergraduate and postgraduate actors and directors and may be directing in-house or public shows. Most of the work is practice-based and will require an ability to work successfully with a range of student abilities over a variety of modules that include stage and screen acting, directing, voice, and festival production.
