The Role
The Tourism and Languages Subject Group, within the Business School, are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Intercultural Business Communication (on
Learning & Teaching
pathway). The successful candidate will join the highly successful Intercultural Business Communication and Languages programmes at the Business School, which are currently the largest in Scotland and in the Top 10 in the UK (The Guardian, 2017).
Your main responsibility will be to teach on undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Intercultural Business Communication and Languages. You will be responsible for leading modules and teaching in one of the following languages; Mandarin, Spanish or French.
You will also be responsible for the pastoral care of students, and should contribute to academic administrative functions as required.

Who We Are Looking For
A Doctorate in an appropriate area is essential.
Academic, professional or industrial experience in IBC would be advantageous, as would a teaching qualification.
You should be able to demonstrate good oral and written communication skills, while also having a proven track record in working as part of a team. Good organisational skills are essential.
